Showcase Requests?
Civitai is all about celebrating beautiful content, and we know everyone wants to share their best creations. One of the best ways to get noticed is by having your work featured on the home page of both Civitai.com and Civitai.green. But how does that happen? There are two main ways to get your content in the spotlight.
The first is through pure chance – what we call being “organically” featured. As we go about our daily tasks, we sometimes stumble upon standout content and decide to highlight it on the front page. It’s a great surprise when it happens, but there’s also a way to take matters into your own hands.
If you’ve got a new model release you want to promote or an image you’re exceptionally proud of, you can submit a request to showcase your work! By spending some Yellow Buzz, you can make sure your creation gets the visibility it deserves.
What can be Featured?
Civitai offers “homeblock” space on the Civitai.com homepage for showcasing images (and videos!), models, and articles.
For creators looking to highlight a range of content – such as a model release accompanied by several images, perhaps for a special launch – we can provide a dedicated homeblock to make your showcase truly stand out.
However, there are a few important guidelines that must be followed for a request to be accepted:
- No Celebrity or Real Person Likeness: We won’t feature any content that depicts celebrities or replicates the likeness of real people.
- No NSFW or Mature Content: All featured content must adhere to a PG rating. Anything beyond this won’t be eligible for a homepage feature.
- Avoid Overrepresented Content: If certain themes or styles are already heavily featured, we may not include similar submissions.
- Maintain Civitai’s homepage Aesthetic: The Civitai.com homepage is a central part of the platform’s identity, and it’s important to keep its look cohesive. Some content, while great in its own right, may not align with the aesthetic we aim to maintain on the front page.
- Buzz: You must have sufficient Yellow Buzz to cover the cost of the request! Image, Model, and Article requests cost 10,000 Buzz ?
By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your request stands the best chance of being featured!
The Request Process – How it Works
If you have a piece of content you’d like to be featured, head to your Buzz dashboard and look for the Get Showcased button;
The form which appears takes three values;
- Model, Article, or Image to feature – A full Civitai.com URL to the content you wish featured.
- Requested showcase start date – A date when you’d like your content to start appearing in the homeblock. We’ll do our best to accommodate this request, but it may not be possible due to volume, or other considerations.
- Any additional comments – Anything you’d like us to be aware of, related to featuring your images!
Approvals
Once your request is approved, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that your content is now live on the homepage.
The featured section displays the 56 most recent items. Since we add 10-15 new items daily, your content will typically be visible for about 4-5 days. During this time, prepare for an influx of new followers!
Content display is randomized, meaning there’s a 25% chance your content will be shown with each page refresh.
User filters will still apply. If a user has hidden tags that match your content, it won’t appear in their view.
Denials
If your content wasn’t selected, don’t worry! You’ll receive a notification explaining why it wasn’t chosen, and you won’t be charged any Buzz for the submission. Plus, you’re welcome to try again by submitting alternative content right away!
