What is the Cosmetic Shop?
The Civitai Cosmetic Shop is a fun way to elevate the aesthetics of your profile, ensuring you stand out from the crowd of other Creators. Offering a range of cosmetic options, you can customize the appearance of your profile, and it’s not just about looking great— it’s about making a statement and highlighting your work!
Cosmetics are available to purchase with Buzz ?, and are split into four categories;
Profile Backgrounds
Profile backgrounds are visible on your mini-profile card, displayed on Models, and Image Detail pages. There are a wide range of animated and static backgrounds, across various themes!
Avatar Decorations
Make your Profile Pic pop with these animated frames! Avatar decorations are visible most places your Profile Picture is shown, apart from the very smallest instances, where the effect would be lost entirely.
Content Frame Decorations
Make your model, image, or article stand out in the crowd by dressing it up with a Content Frame Decoration.
?? Note that Content Frame decorations are considered equipables – they can only be applied to one piece of content at a time! ??
Badges
Showcase your support and preferences with our themed badges in the Badges section. These Civitai-crafted badges, ranging from “Interface Allegiance” to other unique themes, allow you to personalize your profile and demonstrate your enthusiasm for specific generative AI tools, and more.
Creator Club Badges
Explore our exclusive Creator Club Badges section, where you can find badges uniquely designed by our top Creators. Each purchase directly supports the Creator behind the design, allowing you to show your appreciation and pledge your support to your favorite Creators.
These badges are not only a way to personalize your profile but also a meaningful gesture to help sustain our wonderful creative community!
How do I buy Cosmetics?
You can purchase all Profile Cosmetics from the Shop – https://civitai.com/shop – accessible from the Top Menu;
All Cosmetics cost Buzz ? to purchase; the exact amount varies based on type, and exclusivity.
Hitting the Preview button on a Cosmetic within the Shop will provide a preview of the item, as it will appear on your profile.
?? Note that there’s no confirmation dialog on the purchase button! Only click to purchase if you’re sure you want to buy! ??
Applying Cosmetics
Purchased Cosmetics can be applied a number of ways – read on to find out how!
After Purchasing, you’ll be presented with a window asking if you’d like to apply your new bling immediately.
There’s also a link to enable notifications for new cosmetic content drops.
We’ve streamlined the process of applying Cosmetic items by integrating it into the new Profile Customization screen. This modal window provides one-stop access to all the tools you need to personalize your profile. Now, you can apply cosmetics, update your information, add social links, refine your bio, and more, all from a single, convenient location.

FAQ & Notes
- What is Boring-Ass Profile Syndrome? If you don’t have any cosmetics, you’ve got it. Happily, the cure is only a few Buzz away!
- Cosmetics are generally non-refundable purchases. Sometimes odd situations do occur when purchasing, and in those cases there might be a valid refund reason. Reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis.
- Why are some items sold out? Some items will be exclusives; limited run items, only available for a specific time, or until a specific quantity are sold. These exclusives will not return for sale at a later date.
- Cosmetics are not tradeable or transferrable. Cosmetics must remain on the account on which they were purchased.
- The store will be refreshed with new content often, but not on any set schedule. Use the notification bell feature to be alerted to new content drops!
