Big news! While we work on integrating a new credit card payment processor, we’re excited to offer a new way to get Buzz: gift cards and pre-paid Memberships are now available! These prepaid cards come in convenient 3, 6, and 12 month Membership periods, and denominations of 10,000, 25,000, and 50,000 Buzz – equivalent to $10, $25, and $50 – making it easier than ever to top up your account, support your favorite creators, or share Buzz with a friend.

These gift cards are 100% digital and instantly redeemable on Civitai.com, meaning no waiting, no shipping, and no hassle. As soon as you complete your purchase, you’ll receive a unique code (on-screen and via email) you can redeem immediately on Civitai to load up your account with Buzz, or activate Membership Perks.

How to Purchase Buzz with Gift Cards

The following steps walk you through making a purchase.

Choose Your Desired Product

Select the amount of Buzz you’d like to purchase10,000 ($10), 25,000 ($25), or 50,000 ($50). You can mix and match, adding multiples to your cart, should you wish to purchase more in a single transaction.

Alternatively, select the Membership package you’d like to purchase – we currently offer 3, 6, and 12 month Membership periods for each tier; Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Proceed to Checkout

After selecting Buy Now under your chosen gift card amount, you’ll be directed to our vendor where you’ll have a few checkout options:

Enter your payment details to proceed through the checkout.

Depending on your chosen payment method, the flow will be slightly different.

Receive Your Digital Code

Once the payment is complete, your code will be immediately available!

Redeem Your Code on Civitai

Head to your Buzz Dashboard and look for the Redeem Code bock, under the Current Buzz chart;

Paste your Code into the box, and click Redeem! That’s it – your Buzz has been credited to your account, or your Membership applied, depending on your purchase!

If you’ve redeemed Buzz you’ll see your updated balance in your Buzz transactions momentarily, and you’re now ready to get creating!

FAQ

Q: Is this a replacement for a payment processor?
A: No, this is a stop-gap measure, and we’re still pursuing all avenues to resume normal operation!

Q: I’m seeing a “This store can’t accept payments right now” message.
A: In some regions PayPal may not be available. Because all Buzz purchases are facilitated by PayPal, if that option is not available in your region you will see this message.

Q: Can I use this method to buy a Civitai.com Membership?
A: Yes. We now offer 3, 6, and 12 month pre-paid Bronze, Silver, and Gold Membership packs!

Q: What happens if I apply multiple prepaid Memberships to my account?
A: They stack! If you already have an active Membership (annual or prepaid) and purchase additional months at the same tier, they’ll be added to the end of your current Membership period.
Note: You won’t receive any Buzz when activating another Membership while one is already active. If you need Buzz immediately, consider purchasing a one-time Gift Card instead.

Q: What happens if I have an existing Membership, but also apply a higher tier?
A: Upgrades are immediate. Your renewal date will update, and the higher-tier Membership will take priority over your existing one.
For example, if you activated 12 months of Silver, used it for 2 months, and then redeemed a 3-month Gold Membership, you’ll immediately receive Gold benefits. The remaining Silver time for the current month will be pro-rated.
After your 3 months of Gold ends, your account will automatically drop back to Silver for the remaining 10 months (plus any pro-rated days).

Q: What happens if I have an existing prepaid Membership, but also apply a lower tier?
A: Downgrades are not immediate.
For instance, if you purchased 12 months of Silver and then added 3 months of Bronze, your Silver Membership will remain active until it expires. After that, the Bronze Membership will begin.

Q: How many prepaid Memberships can I stack?
A: You can stack up to 24 months (2 years) of prepaid Memberships on a single account, across any tier.

Q:  I’ve purchased and activated a number of prepaid Memberships – how do I see when each tier ends and what my stack looks like?
A: Visit your Membership Management page. If you’ve stacked multiple Memberships, you’ll see a chart showing how long you have left at each tier and when each one begins or ends.

Q: Are there fees?
A: Not on the Civitai end. If you pay $10, you receive 10,000 Buzz. However, taxes apply, and vendors do charge a processing fee depending on the product and payment method selected.

Q: Do Gift Card Codes Expire?
A: No, there is no expiration on Gift Card Codes.

Q: Do I have to redeem the code myself, or can I gift it to someone else?
A: Codes can be redeemed by anyone with a Civitai account, so feel free to pass them along.

Q: Can I use multiple gift codes on one account?
A: You can redeem as many codes as you like; they’ll all add to your Buzz balance.

Q: Can I get a refund on my gift card?
A: Gift card purchases are non-refundable, so make sure you’re happy with your selection before checking out.

Q: Do gift card’s confer the Membership Bonus Buzz?
A: No. Gift cards exist outside of the regular Buzz purchasing ecosystem and do not confer additional Membership bonuses.
